About Top Lawyer Coaches
Top Lawyer Coaches, powered by Diversity Lab, features expert career coaches who are actively counseling participants of OnRamp 200, part of the OnRamp Fellowship. Coaches engage in one-on-one counseling with Fellows to assist with skills development and provide invaluable guidance as Fellows navigate the re-entry process. Featured coaches bring a wealth of experience working in the legal industry and come from various backgrounds, including legal practice (both within law firms and in-house), business development, professional development, legal recruiting, and more. This incredible group of coaches has dedicated their time and efforts to supporting and advancing diversity in the legal profession through their work with OnRamp 200 and Diversity Lab.
Launched in 2014, the OnRamp Fellowship is a re-entry platform that matches experienced lawyers returning to the workforce after a career hiatus with law firms and legal departments in the U.S. for year-long paid positions. This unique experiential learning program gives returning lawyers—many of whom left the workforce for a period of time to raise children—an opportunity to demonstrate their value in the marketplace while also increasing their experiences, skills, and contacts. Diversity Lab has placed more than 95 Fellows—one-third of whom are attorneys of color—to date, and 87% of Fellows have received full-time offers from legal organizations following the year-long program.
In 2021, Diversity Lab introduced OnRamp 200—the newest iteration of the Fellowship. Through this collective legal industry movement, Diversity Lab works with legal organizations to bring 200 women lawyers back into the legal profession by 2025. The coaches featured on this site are an integral part of this exciting new effort. (To learn more, review the OnRamp Fellowship Opportunities page.)
